The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce has hired former Wisconsin state Sen. Dale Kooyenga as a senior vice president and he's on a path to succeed longtime president Tim Sheehy. A date for the transition hasn't been determined but it will be after 2023, assuming things go well for Kooyenga in his new private-sector role. Sheehy, who has been MMAC president since 1992, has not announced his retirement date. Kooyenga, a Republican, decided not to seek re-election to his seat in the state Senate representing Brookfield, New Berlin and parts of Wauwatosa and West Allis.
