A black bear was captured on camera in New Berlin New Berlin resident Joe Zupan said he's never seen a bear in the area before. A black bear was captured on a New Berlin resident's trail camera near the 13200 block of West Radisson Drive, a sighting that experts say is normal in populated areas during spring and early summer , since this is the bear's breeding season. "Inevitably, a few bears will wander southward and wind up in some of these more suburban areas," said Randy Johnson, a large carnivore specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
