Kevin Smith / CC The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development reports that unemployment numbers ticked upwards for most of the state last month. There was no exception here, with the Sheboygan Metropolitan Area experiencing a rise of a half of one percent since July to 3.1% in August. An identical rise was seen year-over-year, and all twelve metro areas in the state saw rising unemployment last month. The City of Sheboygan saw unemployment rise from 2.9% in July to 3-and-a-half percent for August.
