Had our roof done which went smoothly for the most part. One crew member had to come back to finish some flashing that they missed and I had to call about. They left a few bundles of materials on a pallet in the yard without mentioning they weren't ours to keep. Had to swing home over lunch the next day to pull them back out of the garage for pickup. Also had to clean up all sorts of nails, old shingles, napkins, food wrappers, and packaging from the shingles that were left throughout the yard. But the roof looks great and we paid a fair price. The bigger issue came a few weeks later when I was in the attic working on another project. The roofers had disconnected the exhaust fans for our bathrooms. This obviously had to be done. However, they weren't hooked back up and the ducts were just dropped into the attic. The collars that lock the ducts into the vents were either taken or thrown away and the holes for the vents were partially shingled over. Not only could that have resulted in mold issues, but they left our home with code violations that weren't there prior to the project. If they skimped out on something as easy to discover as a that, I sure hope I don't discover something more serious and hidden down the line. Would have rated four stars solely on the roof itself, but bumping down to a two for the lack of proper workmanship and integrity.
